# Delete pages from a PDF.

> Unwanted PDF pages deleted on your own device, privately.

Remove pages from a PDF entirely in your browser — list what should go, like 1,14-16, and everything else assembles into a **new document with nothing re-encoded and nothing uploaded**. The original file stays untouched.

**No uploads · No ads · Free & open source.**

## How it works

1. Drop files anywhere on the page, click to browse, or paste with Ctrl/⌘ + V.
2. Pick a quality or preset — or set an exact target size and let the tool find it.
3. Compress, compare before/after, and download — individually or as a ZIP.

## Cutting the right pages

Blank pages from a duplex scan, an outdated appendix, a fax cover sheet, a page with someone else’s data — deletion answers “these pages shouldn’t be here”. The range you type is the removal list: 2 drops one page, 14-16 a run, 12- everything from twelve onward. Removing every page is refused with a clear message rather than producing an empty file.

Pages that stay are copied as-is, so a hundred-page scan loses its blanks in an instant with zero quality cost. To keep a selection instead of removing one, [Extract PDF Pages](https://compress-pro.com/extract-pages-from-pdf) is the same engine in the opposite direction; a smaller file afterwards is [Compress PDF](https://compress-pro.com/compress-pdf)’s job.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which pages does the range refer to?

The ones being deleted: 1,14-16 removes page one and pages fourteen to sixteen, and everything else survives into the new PDF. Switch the toggle to Keep and the same range means the opposite.

### Can I undo a deletion?

Your original file is never modified — the tool writes a new PDF without the listed pages. If the result is wrong, just run the original again with a different range.

### What happens if my range covers every page?

The run stops with an honest error — a PDF must keep at least one page. Adjust the range and run again.

### Is it private?

Yes. The document never leaves your browser — nothing is uploaded, and the server only delivers this page. That makes it safe for contracts, invoices, medical records — anything you would not email to a stranger. Want proof? Run one file through, switch your connection off, and run another — it still works.
